Seige of Solensted

In 3612 Skorn the Dark Wizard of the Archain launches an assault on the human’s most holy city. Upon reaching the southern gate, He launches a giant fire ball at the gate doors only to find it is a fake created by Targus Greathelm. Soon after, the Guardians of Sanctuary emerge from their hiding, disguised as statues. They have the Archain forward assault group surrounded. The guardians link their powers to raise the ground and bring it down on top of their enemies. Skorn shields himself in fire. He answers the Guardians attack with another massive fire ball shot at Targus; Targus absorbs this and returns it in the form of lightning, crippling the dark wizard. The wizard now very angry and desperate begins to chant a dark incantation, summoning a giant meteor from the sky; speeding down towards the city. Targus focus all of his power to create a giant shield over the city. The Meteor and Shield collide. The force of it creates a large crater to the north of the city and sets the surrounding area on fire.

The general of the Archain army- Malfus Hellfury begins his advance after the wizard’s failure. The wizard however, has a smile on his face. The Guardians fall back to the southern gate house for the fire has now encased the city and destroyed the outlying village. Hellfury not wanting the guardians a chance to regroup; shoots a massive shockwave creating a giant fissure, destroying the gate and separating the Guardian forces. The Guardians nearest Targus fall back into the city to recover and gather reinforcements. The Guardians remaining outside create a barrier and begin to fend off the General and his army. But soon met their demise to Hellfury’s all-consuming fire. Targus and his 8 remaining forces now have their attention set towards the northern wall, where a pillar of fire now rages. Bachaias Greathelm and the city defenders rush the Archain army. All the while; the guardians rush to seal the fire which now hides the entire sky. The guardians begin to channel the spell but to their surprise the fires calm, only to reveal a giant flaming being. Magmaroth the Demon of Fire was unleashed. The demon's awesome power was too much for the 8 guardians and could not be contained. In his fury much of the northern defenses were destroyed.

The Guardians' goal now became to keep the Wrath of Magmaroth focused on them and away from the city. The Solensted forces within the city began to dwindle, too make matters worse - Skorn had re- entered the battle. Now, in the center of the city it was Bachaias with a handful of Templars struggling to hold their own against General Hellfury. The rest of the forces were scattered throughou the city, trying to contain the invaders. Targus had been trying to join his guardians to help put away the evil he was sensing. Targus now overwhelmed, sensed the life force of his distant guardians fading; HE too had started to feel the strain of the fire around them. Just when all seemed lost, mighty horns sounded in the distance followed by a loud crackle. The Dark Wizard lay dead with a large hammer sticking into his chest. Lightning bolts rained from the sky, clearing the smoke and laying waste to the Archain reinforcements. When the smoke and blood spray had settled it was Magne Runehammer standing over the corpse of the wizard. Descending from the sky was his group of guardians known as the Storm Talon. The 5 Dwarves stood in formation around their leader, their signature bronze helmets gleaming from the fire. Combined they created a giant hand of earth and grabbed the Archain general. But, to the Storm Talon's surprise, Hellfury shattered this trap within seconds, and began to charge the dwarves. The real battle had just begun...

Targus took this time to gather his strength. The battle within the city was far from over, but his duty was now to come to the aid of his men. Of the 8 only 6 now remained. They had succeeded in their original goal and led the demon away from the city. The fact still remained that they haven’t even weakened this monstrosity in the least. The battle was now taking place within the giant crater that was created from the Demon's Fall. This crater now was filling with pools of lava and growing large and shooting fissures off in all directions. If this thing wasn’t stopped soon the entire world would burn. The demons main source of destruction thus far had been his breath of fire, which the guardians had attempted to absorb earlier in the fight but caused the death of 2 of their comrades. Targus arrived and took the demons attention. He ordered his remaining guardians to use their forces of earth and lightning to create a sanctuary that would regain some of their strength and mana. Targus tried to seal the demon with lightning, but it broke free. He then tried encasing it in earth, but it just melted at the demons touch. The demon unable to keep up with Targus’ speed and agility; breathed in and focused all of his demonic fire at the guardians. But they were ready and intercepted the blast with their reinforced barrier and channeled all the energy into Targus. He then focused all his might into his wind sword, Syvvender and shot a mighty beam that pierced the demons chest. Acid and lava sprayed all over filling the crater even more.

From the pools came spawns of the fire demon. Magmaroth had disappeared into the sea of lava. The Guardians now ran for their lives as the wave of lave sped towards the city. The City was just a few yards away but an obstacle, the wall of the now giant crater stood in their way. Targus used Syvvender to create a shock wave and push back the lava; allowing them time to scale the wall. The fire demons leapt from the sea and attacked the Guardians. The spawns although large in numbers were weak and none remained after a short while. Once the spawns were all dead the sea of lava began to churn wildly. When all of a sudden Magmaroth shot up into the sky in the form of his meteor, and began speeding down straight at Targus. Targus took all his remaining life energy and shot one final blast at the demon. The remaining guardians joined their leader as well. In the end they succeed. The fiery ball of destruction exploded moments before impact. The northern wall lay in ruin, Targus and his Guardians of Sanctuary stood at the cliffside immortalized in ashy stone with their swords held high.

Unaware of all this, Runehammer and his Storm Talon was still locked in combat with Malfus Hellfury. Bachaias was purging the city of all remaining Archain forces. The Wild Storm was throwing everything they had at the now crazed general. Lost in a blood rage the fact that he was the only one left of his entire 40 legions did not bother him. The ordered had been given to evacuate the entire city. Runehammer had no choice but bring out his ultimate technique Indignation. Runehammer began the incantation as the dwarves among him fled for their lives. The sky turned a pitched black as a massive bolt of lightning pierced the sky and crashed down upon Malfus, the sky light up with a blinding light as buildings around the bolt toppled over. Runehammer’s Crusher began to glow. Hellfury began to cackle menacingly as Runehammer swung Crusher with all his might landing a blow to the chest of his enemy. A deafening blast followed with a shockwave that shook the planets foundations. Runehammer collapsed in agony as the sky returned to normal. Malfus Hellfury treads calmly from the scorched city while Magne Runehammer lay dying on the cold ground.
